Really great insight. This gets closer to what philosophy should be about - living. But you are thereby opposing the monopolistic paradigm that “Truth” is what philosophy is about. An old Arabic saying is “perhaps the truth depends upon a walk around the lake.” A cryptic aphorism that supports your insight and others, including Thoreau. “Truth” is useful but not paramount for a philosophy; living well is primary, as you say.

Very off-topic. Growing up in Central Massachusetts, I used to take my high-school girlfriend out to walk around Walden by moonlight. Her grandchildren still consider her slightly magical.
